At the Michigan Science Center in Detroit, kids (and the young at heart!) will discover dozens of interactive exhibits exploring science, technology, engineering and mathematics!

Each exhibit, program and show promotes understanding of the natural world and the the phenomenon at work all around us.

TIPS FOR VISITING WITH KIDS

  • Buy tickets online in advance if you can
  • If you plan to walk-up, check the opening times because they vary and are often closed
  • Wear good shoes! You'll be standing and walking a lot
  • Pay to park at the Detroit Institute of Arts parking lot. It's about a block away and is much bigger than the Science Center's lot. It's also gated, well-lit and you can park there all day!
  • Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours inside
  • Wheelchairs are available for rent on a first-come, first serve basis
  • Assistive listening devices and transcripts are available for most of their shows
  • Save $5 on Michigan Science Center admission with the VisitDetroit D Discount Pass
  • Bring hand sanitizer and wipes — everything is hands-on!
